We started 2014 with a Degustation Lunch at Voyager with most of the Friday night crew. We also attended the usual Cape Mentelle movie evenings.

Sally had some friends who were involved in the “Chefs Long Table Lunch”, which is a fund raiser for the local community groups in Bunbury. It is held on the foreshore of the Preston River, near the roundabout leading out to the port. It was a very enjoyable experience, although the wine left a bit to be desired.

One of Bruce’s Calculus class events is to take his group on a bus excursion to Sea Gardens in Prevelly. During the journey they take speed readings of the bus every ten seconds and then map out the speed vs time graph, while waiting for their breakfast to come. The group loves it and takes it all very seriously, much to the amazement of the other customers at the cafe.
Not much else seemed to happen in the first half of the year, but this is ok since we are now due for another extended holiday in June/July and this time we are off to Italy.
