We had a late change to our plans since we couldn’t get on the golf courses in Quy Nhon on the weekend due to a big competition, so we cut across to the Beach for a two night stay in Nha Trang. This was a place we had considered but dropped since it would have extended our trip too much if we stayed 4 nights.
We stayed at the Nevada Beach Hotel and it was quite good, right across the road from the beach and nice clean rooms and atmosphere. Unfortunately Nha Trang was a bit like Phuket, very touristy and a large number of Russians. We find the Russians a bit overpowering, the males wear flashy clothing and lots of jewellery and the women often appear to be either obese or eye candy. We played spot the implants every time we went walking or while we were having breakfast.

We played golf at VN Links, which was a very wide open course with no trees. It was not long off the white tees (we could have played blue). Bruce’s caddy Tea was a lovely young girl and easily the best caddy he has had on the trip so far. She could speak good english and quickly assessed my ability, hence giving good advice throughout the game. Rosie was given lessons throughout the game by her caddy and did manage to score a bit better getting 28pts/99. Bruce had his best game by far and got 41pts/84. He would have done better but made errors on the last two holes.
Throughout the game, we had motorbikes racing up the beach road, which was huge and open. Red Bull organised to have the road partially blocked and have people racing their bikes for fun. As we started the second nine, the party started up and it felt like we were at a LIV tournament with loud pop music blaring over the course.
