Liam is finishing off his last three weeks at Ruth Thompson before going back home to start Grade 6 again. He has loved his schooling in Canada and has gained many new friends.

On the last Friday, Liam took all his new friends to Wild Wings for a farewell party and general food fest. They all loved it. Liam has spent the last couple of weeks going to his friends houses and trying to explain to people where he is going.

What a difference between the amount of snow when we are leaving and the amount that was here when we arrived. It has been a very unusual and mild winter so far. Liam’s snowman is holding on barely, we thought he might be able to ressurect him before we left, but this seems unlikely now.

We leave Toronto on Friday, 22nd. We will spend the night in New York before catching the plane home on Saturday night. Should be back in Perth Monday afternoon and then Margaret River on Tuesday, 25th January.

On January 22nd, 2010 we flew out of Toronto to New York to start our journey home. It was cold and snowy when we left, and New York was cold and clear. After an overnight stop in NY, we then continued on home and arrived late on the 25th of January at Bruce’s parents place in Mandurah. Bruce woke early on Australia Day and was greeted by a warm morning with the sun rising over the Quays, a great reminder of why we love living here. We went straight back to Margaret River and on the 27th, Bruce started work again (after a nice 3 day break spent entirely on planes and in cars).
